Our festive fragrances from the L’Hiver collection was specifically curated to give you flashbacks of your favorite holiday memories. Fill the room with our Mulled Wine, Winter Pine and Maple Apple Butter scents and you can make just about any grump feel the holiday cheer.
Enhance your home even further with this festive DIY wreath and get ready for all the ugly Christmas sweater parties you can handle.
To replicate this shabby chic holiday look, you will need:
An undecorated wreath made with pine, pinecones or grapevine
Christmas tree ornaments in complementary colors
Burlap and lace ribbon
A burlap flower or bow
Wire cutters or durable scissors
1. Using craft wire, secure one end of your burlap and lace ribbon to your wreath and start wrapping. Leave relatively even spacing between each piece of ribbon to allow for the placement of ornaments and pinecones. Do not wrap too tightly. Once you’re satisfied with the spacing and look of the ribbon, cut it from the ribbon roll and attach with craft wire. If possible, secure the ribbon ends to each other to give the illusion of a continuous ribbon strand.
2. Your burlap flower or bow is the focal point of your wreath. Attach this piece to the bottom of the wreath with your craft wire next. This step will make it easier to decide where to place your other embellishments and decorations.
3. Still using the craft wire, start attaching ornaments and pinecones one at a time. Don’t worry if it looks slightly disorganized at first. If you are using imitation pine for your wreath, the flexible, but sturdy branches makes it easy to adjust placement after.
4. Tie an old key, ornament or pinecone to a piece of twine and hang from the bottom of the wreath for extra detail. Securely attach another piece of twine to the top of your wreath and hang on your front door or place on your fireplace mantle with your favorite holiday-themed Bijou candle.
Alternatively, you can create beautiful table centerpiece simply by placing your candle inside the middle of the wreath. Just be sure to keep all pine needles, grapevine and other flammable wreath components away from the candle’s flame.
