Full moons are checkpoints in your journey that can signify reaching a goal or making the realization that certain goals and relationships are not for you. It's a time to use the full moon's complete energy to see what still fits, what is still serving you and what you need to distance yourself from. This can be a very emotional process as you take a hard look at your inner truth.

When a full moon is accompanied by a lunar eclipse, all of the full moon's energy and emotions surrounded by it are amplified. Since this full moon falls in Taurus – a sign ruled by Venus, the enchanting planet that governs love, beauty, and money – expect to delve into emotions tied to these themes.

Our Full Moon Ritual

Step 1: Cleanse Your Space

In order to receive this full moon's message, take a moment to cleanse your space of any negative energy. We like to do this with scented candles, that complement our energy, as we can keep them lit throughout the ritual to help keep the mood lifted and open.

This full moon is sitting opposite Mercury (the planet that rules communication), because of this we could experience more confusion and miscommunications. We want to burn something that promotes clarity and focus. For this we are using Sabrina • Patchouli & Bergamot. Zesty citrus blends with earthy patchouli for an uplifting and grounded scent.

Step 2: Meditate

The purpose of this meditation is calm, focused relaxation. This full moon will bring some tension with it and we certainly don't want to make any rash decisions. Make yourself very comfortable, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Allow any spots of tension in your body to melt away.
This full moon is also known as the Beaver Moon and it signifies the time when beavers seek shelter from the cold. Make like the beaver and spend some time post-meditation cuddling on the couch with lots of blankies and snacks.

Step 3: Write It Down

After you've spent some time in your meditative "beaver" hibernation, get out a pen and paper and write down everything you want to focus on for the rest of this year. Take this piece of paper and put it under your pillow for the night. The full moon hits in the early morning hours while you're sleeping. Think of these goals while you drift off to sleep.

Happy Full Moon, Candle Coven!
