New Moon in Scorpio Ritual

New Moon in Scorpio Ritual

The Halloween Full Moon Reading New Moon in Scorpio Ritual 3 minutes Next The Winter Solstice

Tonight's new moon arrives in Scorpio, a water sign that feels very deeply, but unlike the more emotionally expressive water signs of Cancer and Pisces, Scorpios keep their feelings more guarded and secret. This reserved sign arriving during the meditative new moon will help us to discover what lies in our innermost shadows. Don't be afraid to discover deeper truths about yourself. Honesty is key in realizing our most vulnerable fears and desires.

We all have both light and dark within ourselves and neither is better than the other. Work on honoring both sides of yourself and seek to unify them. If we hide away parts of ourselves, we can never fully grow. This unity will help us set intentions with a clearer mind.

Our New Moon Ritual

Step 1: Cleanse

We want to create a calm and peaceful space to help ourselves to feel comfortable when old memories or hidden feelings reveal themselves. We're burning the Stevie • White Sage & Neroli candle to help shift and clear out any negative energy.

Step 2: Meditate

Dress comfortably (we recommend wearing black, Scorpio's signature color) and find a cozy spot to relax undisturbed. During this meditation, you are seeking to confront any buried feelings, needs, or memories that you might be suppressing.

All things in life need balance. In order to truly enjoy the happy moments, we must also embrace the sad moments. In order to feel joy, we must also acknowledge what makes us angry. We can only truly experience enlightenment when we allow both sides of ourselves to coexist. It's important that we do not judge ourselves during this discovery process. Allow yourself to really understand what these buried thoughts are about.

Step 3: Journal

Armed with these new discoveries, open up to a new page in a notebook or journal and write down everything that's bubbling up. Don't worry about how you phrase things or grammar – just write freely. Allow what lies in your innermost shadows to take control of the pen. This is symbolic of letting those buried emotions see the light.

Perhaps you decide to write a letter to someone who as hurt you (you don't have to actually send this letter, this can be symbolic of your release). Maybe you write a poem or a song. Maybe you make a list of things you've been denying yourself. Whatever it is, it's time to get it out and practice forgiveness and openness. Forgive those who have hurt you, forgive yourself for feeling shame, forgive the past and move forward with an open heart and mind.

Once you're done with this, turn to a new page and write down all of the things you want to attract moving forward. Make this list full of things that bring you joy and focus on manifesting them by using language like, "I have." or "I am" and visualize it as if it has already happened.

Once this is completed, extinguish your candle with a wick dipper or snuffer. We never want to "blow" out our intentions.
