Staying at home means lots of cooking and baking. We've been trying lots of new recipes and baking lots of breads and enjoying every bite! We're all going to come out of this time with some new skills and hobbies. Whether it's getting really good at baking or becoming a Netflix connoisseur (why not both?!) – it's a win any way you slice it. Here are our favorite stay at home bread recipes!

Classic Banana Bread

Here are the facts, we all buy a bunch of bananas and often end up with a few brown ones left at the end. Don't throw those babies away, they are primed and ready to transform into the delicious bread they've always meant to become.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/2 cups of mashed overripe bananas

Directions

  • Preheat over to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer.
  • Stir in the eggs and mashed bananas.
  • Combine with the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Pour into greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. (If after 60 minutes you have a brown top and edges and an uncooked center, lower the heat to 300 degrees F and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean)
  • Cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!

    Apple Crumble Bread

    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 4 teaspoons lemon juice

    Crumble

    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
